We’re beginning to enjoy photographing our clients in their own houses or apartments so much better now. It used to be a fear of ours because we never knew how the light or decor would be. ‘Would it work for us? would we have to resort to flash the whole time?’ … but the more we do it the more we get challenged to ‘find the light’ and just embrace our couples in their own most comfortable places to be. After all, its the snapshots of us in our old apartments that we tend to cherish immensely. The second half of this shoot with Shelby and Bryan was wandering the streets of Culver City outside of smashbox studios. Who would have thought it was just as rad to be up the street shooting near smashbox as it is to be shooting inside of it.
