We are so fortunate to have stumbled upon these guys (literally!) last month. Leanne wanted to stay a few nights up in Ojai and rather than a hotel, she google hunted for a bit and found a stylish hand-remodeled garage/backhouse in Dan & Kari’s large yard that serves as a VRBO. We didnt get to meet them during our stay, but after our return home, we discovered that Kari is a fantastic lifestyle and editorial photographer and Dan is so outdoorsy and knows so much about his town that he could be the nature ambassador for the entire ojai valley.
Needless to say Kari discovered our photography as well, and we did what any reasonable people would do and traded services … two more lovely nights in ojai for a session with their boy Charlie-Wyatt in their own backyard and favorite nearby biking trails. Oh and I cant forget the chickens, they were pretty sweet.
In just a few short days we shared beers under the stars, stories of the photographers life, and learned so much about a place that we may even one day call home. These guys are just plain awesome-sauce … here are a few favorites from our session …
