Kyra and Mike are LA natives … and not that driving down past the orange curtain is that difficult … but it didn’t take too much convincing to get them down here. Their 2016 wedding is set for the Mission San Juan Capistrano and the Villa, so it only seemed appropiate that we explore some of my secret sacred spots in the hills for their adventure session. These two are insanely sweet and super smitten on each other, so we’re really looking forward to documenting more of their story next year.
These are two of the sweetest people we’ve ever met. Adorable and soft spoken in nature … but loudly in love with each other … it was a joy to document the engagement afternoon with them and their pooch in Laguna Beach. The park I wanted to take them to for part 2two of the shoot closed early, so we ended up on a hillside I had only seen distantly from the road. Needless to say the adventure level went to 11 with Jaclyn in her long elegant urban outfitters dress vs. the impossibly steep hillside. True champions.
Really looking forward to their french countryside inspired 2016 wedding.
When Sascha + Greg hired us to travel up to big sur this spring to document their wedding, I thought how much better can this get. Then they impulsively added the engagement session into the mix (perhaps with my gentle prodding to do so) … and fly me up to join them in surprisingly sunny san francisco. I love this city so much, so it was an amazing day following these two around from their house, to the roof of their old apartment, finally to a favorite hike of theirs near lands end. Gotta get that bridge in at least a few photos.
This is a small preview of our day together.
