I dont usually post a wedding with so many detail photos … they are important but not as powerful as the moments between a couple and their friends and family on their biggest of days. But Larrissa and Johnny of Inviting Occasion served up a gourmet helping of local, organic eye-watering perfection, I couldn’t resist. We have photographed at Rancho Las Lomas a handful of times but this was the first time I’d seen it truly, personally transformed (those hanging flowers are hand stained coffee filters!). It was early january so the tent in the teatro area of the venue (in case it rained, but it was quite mild and sunny all day) served as the staging ground for both ceremony and reception. Got to be safe.
Amy is an extraordinarily talented actress living in LA and David moved there to join her from South Africa. They worked together aboard many a cruise ship before deciding to dock back at Amy’s home turf near west LA. ‘Travel,’ with a bit of a ‘vintage-bohemian twist’ was a main theme to set the stage for them. Not sure if its all the years in theater or the confined quarters at sea that give these two and joyful energy and closeness to each other that was enjoyable (understatement) for us to document. Congrats (again!).

What a magical night – thank you for capturing it so incredibly. And Larrissa’s interpretation of Amy’s dream was amazing. She is an absolute genius! We are still on cloud nine over the magic of that night. It felt like the party of the century! Thank you to everyone who helped make it wonderful.
